About
----------
Avalanche the Band is an energetic rock band based out of Detroit, Michigan. Dynamic and passionate are but two words that come to mind when describing Avalanche the Band’s unique sound. Drawing inspiration from classic acts like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors, and mashing them with modern influences like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, and Tool to create a refreshing sound that resonates across all generations of musicians.
Nick Rautenberg belts out every word as if it were his last and wants you to know it. Nick Grucz displays a dexterous mastery of guitar, like a lovechild of David Gilmour and Eddie Van Halen. Mike Paraski brings an unrelenting barrage of bass lines, colliding styles of bassists like Peter Hook and Lemmy into a violent, low-end thunder. Avalanche the Band has had several drummers throughout their career starting with Kaelan Smith, who is explosive, hard-hitting and heard on Primrose Path, Lightning Bison as well as the entire debut album, self titled "Avalanche the Band". Next comes Gordon Keevis who displays versatility and immaculate expertise. Keevis is heard on Lead Me On, Kürze, Crown of Corruption, Paradise and Oxbow. Finally, Blake Hendrix fills in as the final drummer bringing a powerful yet tamed approach to the band's music, closing out their discography with I Am The Lighthouse, Otesanek and Take Me Down.
